Started at the age of 8 studying drums. He started professionally at 12 playing drums with his father's group at times. While attending Ada Lewis Middle School in Philadelphia, he was a member of the school jazz band and met Cedric Napolean and James Lloyd, who along with Curtis Harmon became known as the group Pieces of a Dream. The group has a collection of 11 CD's in which Curtis has written for. Some of these include the songs: Mt. Airy Groove, Bout Dat Time, In Flight, Loves Fantasy, All I Want is You, Pieces and Why Won't you let me Love You. Other than playing drums for the past 29 years, he also had training in Latin and African percussion and does background vocals. He has recorded with Grover Washington, Jr., Regina Belle, Sherry Winston and co-wrote a song for Alex Bugnon. His interests are: Sports, Movies, Working out, cars and traveling. He is an avid pool shooter and is in the top 20% of shooters in Philly's A.P.A. league. |
